Kelly and Will first reached out to me in 2023, freshly engaged and full of joy. We met that summer for their engagement session at Hawk Mountain in Norway, Maine, with their sweet pup, Duncan. It might’ve been one of the muggiest (and buggiest!) days of the year, but these two were absolute troopers. We wandered the trails, laughed through the heat, and caught a golden sunset over western Maine—perfect for their mountain-loving hearts.
Their wedding day that October couldn’t have been timed better. Peak foliage. Crisp air. That perfect kind of fall stillness in the mountains. Sunday River Ski Resort is one of their favorite places to spend time together—skiing, relaxing, soaking in everything western Maine has to offer—so it was only fitting they chose it for their celebration.
After their first look, we took a quiet drive up to the Jordan Bowl to soak in the views before the ceremony. The hills were covered in reds, golds, and burnt oranges, like the foliage had peeped out just for them. It was one of those moments that felt both peaceful and electric at the same time—completely them.
The rest of the day flowed effortlessly. From the joy on their guests’ faces to the energy on the dance floor, every piece of it felt full and grounded. They danced their faces off with a giant crew of beautiful friends, and we ended the night with a walk under the twinkle lights behind the resort—a little moment of calm to close out the magic.
Kelly and Will are the kind of people who make this work feel effortless. Warm, kind, fully present. Being welcomed into their story was such a gift—and documenting it was even better.
