The Doody Wedding, New England Outdoor Center
Aaron and Liv first reached out to me back in 2023 while planning not just one, but two weddings.
Liv, originally from New Zealand, wanted to have a meaningful, traditional celebration with her family and friends back home—so that’s where they held their first wedding and shared their initial vows.
Aaron, a born-and-raised Mainer from Millinocket, grew up surrounded by the beauty of the north woods, with his family’s camp sitting right on Ambajejus Lake. For their second celebration—a Maine-style wedding closer to home—they chose the stunning New England Outdoor Center in Millinocket as their venue.
While we had hoped for golden light and sweeping views of Katahdin, the day brought rain and fog instead… but Liv and Aaron embraced every moment with full hearts and zero hesitation. Their energy was joyful, relaxed, and absolutely contagious.
Liv’s wedding dress—elegant with the most beautiful blue floral accents—stood out perfectly against the misty backdrop. Aaron’s brother played in their incredible band, Plush, who kept the celebration going strong with live music under the giant awning outside. Later, Liv changed into a tasseled party dress and the two of them danced the night away surrounded by the people who love them most.It was a day full of heart, connection, and joy—one of those weddings you feel just as much as you see. Every guest showed up for them with intention and love… and it showed in every single moment.
