A Golden Evening in Westmore
Last fall, I had the joy of spending an evening with Jeff and Jill on their beautiful property in Westmore, Vermont—overlooking Willoughby Lake and the infamous Gap. The view was stunning, but it was the connection, the energy, and the meaning woven into every moment that made this session unforgettable.
We started slow, letting the kids ease into the evening—barefoot in the grass, playing on their favorite swing set, just being themselves. As the session unfolded, we explored the hills in front of their home—the very spot where Jeff and Jill were married. Watching their kids play where their story began was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget.
Both sets of grandparents joined us later, adding layers of love and laughter to the evening. We ended in their beloved garden, where the kids picked tomatoes and peppers under the warm September sun, dirt-streaked fingers and all.
These are the moments that can’t be replicated in a studio or even the most scenic location. This was home. And capturing it felt like peeking through a window into their everyday magic.
